We had the greatest day yesterday! We had arranged to meet with a family that have just flown in from Georgia - with the intention of checking the place out and moving here in October. (Mark and I both thought we were meeting Ross Bougens' long lost twin - what do you think?) and as they were going to the English meeting at 11a.m - we got directions and met them there. Although we were late and only got half the WT - we sat there soaking in the language like it was sweet nectar! Oh how good it was to be able to just raise our hands and answer without a second thought! Then after the meeting being able to chat to everyone was fantastic too. I don't know how many nationalities were there but it included a couple of Aussies - and it was really good to hear their accent - it made us feel at home.
Anyway the day progressed and we had people coming for dinner so the Scarborough's came out to the house with us - and guess what? We had to be the interpretors!! What a crack up! But it did make us realize how far we had come in the 3 and 1/2 months of being here! One of the sisters - here for dinner gave me a nice comment which gave me more good feelings. While cleaning up the kitchen which is pathetically lacking in bench space I said "Yo lo siento - mi cocina es mas pequeña" (I am sorry - my kitchen is very small) and she said: "Pero - su corozon es mas grande!" ( But your heart is very big). Sweet eh? We retired that night feeling well satisfied with our day and being part of such an awesome organization!
By the way - I see that the poll was won out by the monologue people - I will just carry on doing what I have been doing then - a bit of both! Chao!

Morning - so pleased you had a great day, with such good memories/feelings to bring home. Perhaps you should go to the English meetings once a month or so to give yourselves a treat/break. I think I told you early on that the lady from work said three months was what it took her to come to grips with French when she lived in France - so it seems that it is working the same for you. Yes that certainly is a Ross B - does your Ross have a fondness for big trucks/motor bikes? Have another fun filled action packed exciting day. Love from us - by the way its 3 degrees here this morning- real heat wave going on!!!!
Same we first thought ROSS twin brother they say we have a double somewhere in the world!HECK Im having too much trouble shedding my double (layers lol.)
Anyway now you are movin out of the 3-month crash blues, a family who speaks aussie twangy english has come to you!
Its all the way up no more sliding, jehovah once again has shown impeccable timing.
How true the words are you have a big heart, we miss it here but awesome you sharing it world's apart!
Fortunately we have Anne that reminds us of you, her charm, warmth & humor has fitted into your shoe.
However to those Kinlochers in KIWILAND,
I always have the last word remember that Anne.(tee hee)
Always love reading about your life in SPANISH LAND.
Lots of blessings because you are following jehovah's PLAN!

Alice how do you come up with your "lettle detties" so fast - what have they put in the water over there?
Ann - good idea about going to the meetings once a month - wouldn't be able to go more often anyway cause they only have the BS every week and the PT & WT once a month.
Believe or not I think better when I try to rhyme,
otherwise if I just write I'll go into Maori time!
Glad im not drinking the same water as the expecting preggy sisters here!
My H2o is natural overflowed with joy to send to you there.
Will keep the "lettle detties" Coming.
Until your back in KIWILAND for your BIG HOME COMING.

Scottys we like your reading your messages - it gives us a laugh!
That's got to be better than having a barf!
You are so encouraging and you really try so hard,
You know Alice old girl you are a real card!
So keep up the messages - and keep on being up beat...
Cause reading your words really is neat.
(dont expect me to come up with a rhyme too often - its too much like mental strain!)
Don't worry anne no brain cells were harmed doing your ryhme, we don't expect you to it all the of the time!!
Good on ya girl for giving it a try, im sure mark & beth are lovin it and there are no sigh!
Another sunny day but very cold, off to field service feeling hyped and bold!
Due to your experiences i feel this way, a privilege to wake up in this organization everyday.
So keep your blogs coming da las gracias a nuestros queridos amigos,
They give me encouragement and strength without them i'll be at a loss!!

Hi Aunty Beth and Uncle Mark!
I have been naughty and not been keeping up with the blogs so just had a quick flick through. It sounds like you guys are having an awesome time. It must be difficult being thrown into Spanish in the deep end but it sounds like you're both doing so well. It's great hearing what good you are doing in Ecuador and how you are giving everything to Jehovah.
I just got a newsletter from a couple who are in Bolivia from Canada - I only met them briefly when they stayed with us for a weekend here in London, but they email every so often with news of construction and Bethel there. And all of this need-greatering is inspiring me!
I have some friends who are heading to Ecuador in September for a few months. Shelley went to Guatemala to pioneer for a year a few years back, now she's going back to Central America with her new husband. She used to live with Kelly and me when we first moved to London. It would be funny if you met up in Cuenca!
Anyway Dave and I are thinking of you and pray for Jehovah's continued blessing, it sounds as though you have been made very rich already by him!
Lots of love,
Kimbo
Ann & Alice
Hey - I'm really glad you two
Have absolutely nothing better to do!
We are on our way to a meeting, so this is a quick GREETING!
Truly I should have first place, to have my saying in poetic space!
But that Ann girl just can't leave me alone, I think beth you should call her on the phone.(lol)
Hope you both had great day, look forward to you blogs another day.

Hey Al old girl - is your computer always fired up and ready to go
After the meeting I couldn't resist just thought you should know!
I thought to myself "Has that Alice written or typed a little more verse?"
I must have the final say cause nothing would be worse!
Than letting her come up with more rhymes and another ditty
Cause that my dear would be a real pity!
So now I am sure that I have the final say
I am off to my bed so lets call it a day!
GOODNIGHT ALICE :)
Oops and you too Beth and Mark xx
