No we are not digging our way to South America...

But my arms and back sure feel like we tried!

Well just to let you in on a little secret - we do have some interest in the house finally! However the council records showed up some problems with a retaining wall on the property so we are having to fix it before any sale can go through. The upshot is that we have to dig 1/2 a metre down for a length of 11 metres! It also meant removing a Palm tree that took us all day Monday to get done. Needless to say - we are really proving our desire to go back to Ecuador - I hope I have some good news soon - that's if I can still use my poor calloused hands to type!

We've been helping my in-laws with digging too - I feel your pain! Whatever you have to do to get back to your assignment will be worth it. You can rest your muscles in Ecuador! :)

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Jeff and Meli - NZ has one official group in Auckland - they are growing fast and no doubt on their way to becoming a congo. Wellington has just a small ministry group and they meet only once a month. However there is a real need there so I am picking they will form a group in the near future. Both groups would love some help and if you do visit - we could pull some strings for accommodation for you - no worries!
I will send you the contact details of the brothers through Michele. Thanks so much for your encouragement!

Hey Guys!

Ecuador is calling you... today a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon here in town. Hope that sale comes through soon.

We arrived back in town a little over two weeks ago and a happy to be back here with the friends. The visit to Australia was a whirlwind... mostly work but that was good news and means another year here. Let's do coffee soon. In Cuenca!
